1.

Real estate taxes are paid twice a year, in June and in January.  The specific date will vary and will always be noted on the tax bill.

 
2. Yes. All major credit cards are accepted. More details can be found at  http://www.hamilton-co.org/treasurer/

Go to the Treasurer’s front page at http://www.hamilton-co.org/treasurer/ then click on Real Estate Tax Billing & Payment Records.  This will connect you to the Auditor’s records where you will find not only tax billing and payment information, but other property information such as transfer history, image of the property, copies of the conveyance files, property dimensions etc.  If you want to know about your taxes, select the “Payments” when you arrive at the Auditor’s records page.  Or you can go directly to the auditor’s Real Estate Records section by using this address:  http://www.hamiltoncountyauditor.org/realestate/

Click on the button on the left titled Marriage License.  Keep in mind, marriage licenses 'on-line' only goes back to 1984 at this time.

Divorce information can be found from the Clerk of Courts site;  Mid-1994 to present.  If you need a certified copy go to 800 Broadway for 1994 to the present.  If your date was earlier, please go to Clerk's Office in the Courthouse located on the third floor.  http://www.courtclerk.org

6. When you pick up your application for marriage at Probate Court  (513-946-3600), ask for a list of judges and mayors that perform weddings.  They can give you details.

13. Property owners always pay taxes for the prior tax year in the current year.  It's state law.

The amount of real estate taxes on your property is determined by two things: tax levies in your community and the market value of your property.  Since the tax levies are determined by voters, the market value is the only one of these that can be challenged.  For details on filing a challenge, go to http://www.hamilton-co.org/treasurer/Boardof Revision.asp 
 
16. You can pre-pay your taxes in installments.  Details at http://www.hamilton-co.org/treasurer/top.asp  To make payments on a delinquent tax bill, call 946-4799 to make arrangements.
17. For the first 10 days the payment is late, the penalty is 5%.  After 10 days, the penalty increases to 10%, set by state law.
 
18. Yes.  Call 946-4820 and request a penalty remission form.

If you would note, one of the tax bills ends with a 00 while the other ends with a 09.  It is simply an accounting procedure designed to get the tax dollars to the township faster.  The two bills does not mean you are paying more taxes.  The sum of the two is the amount of taxes if there were no 90 sub-parcel.

  Level 3)   All roadways are closed to nonemergency personnel.  No one
                   should be out during these conditions unless it is absolutely
                   necessary to travel.  All employees should contact their
                   employer to see if they should report to work.  Those traveling
                   on the roadways may subject themselves to prosecution.
