·         Work Progresses, Crews Increase:  As work quickly progresses on the Great American Ball Park site the number of workers and contractors contributing their skills to the project continues to increase.  With the ongoing installation of structural steel and concrete, as well as utility work, the numbers have ballooned in recent weeks.  Depending on installation and raw material delivery schedules, there are between 300 and 400 workers on site on any given day.  That number is expected to peak as high as 850 workers per day later in the project.

Despite the increased number of contractors and crews on site, there have been remarkably few accidents and injuries.  In fact, the combined East Garage, Cinergy Field modification and Great American Ball Park projects reached the 500,000 hours worked mark before logging a single lost-time injury.

·         Great American Ball Park at a Great American Event:  Hundreds of thousands of area residents descending on the riverfront this Sunday for the annual Labor Day fireworks will have a chance to view a Great American Ball Park display and ask questions of the project team.  The display, near the west end of Yeatman’s Cove, will feature a collection of photos and renderings documenting construction and the rebirth of the riverfront.  Project communications staff will be on hand to answer questions and distribute fact sheets to those in attendance.  The display will be in place from noon until 3:00 p.m.
