·         Honoring America:  Like the rest of America and the free world, the Great American Ball Park project team and their families have been deeply affected by the horrifying events of September 11.  To honor the victims of the terrorist attacks, ironworkers have unfurled a 12 x 18 foot American flag above the jobsite.  The flag hangs from the scoreboard assembly high above the future site of the left field stands.

Personal memorials are also evident throughout the site.  Smaller flags belonging to individual members of the crews can be found in and on machinery, suspended from scaffolding, attached to the wall beyond Cinergy Field’s existing left field fence and on the hard hats of many of the workers.

·         Community Displays:  Throughout the summer, the Great American Ball Park project team has displayed the architectural model as well as a traveling display featuring photos and artists’ renderings of riverfront development.

The model display on September 30 at the Reds vs. Expos will take place as scheduled.  The model appearance coincides with the Reds’ Annual Fan Appreciation Day, which is normally part of the final home game of each season.  Despite the extension to the baseball season, both events will take place as originally scheduled.

Following is the display schedule for some upcoming display venues:
