·        Crosley Terrace Models Unveiled – The Cincinnati Reds have announced that artist Thomas Tsuchiya will create the statues of former players Ted Kluszewski, Ernie Lombardi, Joe Nuxhall and Frank Robinson. These statues will be prominently featured in Crosley Terrace when Great American Ball Park opens in 2003.

Tsuchiya is a 1995 graduate of the University of Cincinnati and a 1990 graduate of Indian Hill High School. The 29-year old is noted for sculpting the statue of D’Artagnan at Xavier University’s Cintas Center.

The fans decided on the four Crosley Era players in September 2000. Over 17,000 fans filled out ballots via the Internet and through ballots at Cinergy Field during the 2000 Reds baseball season. Rough clay depictions were displayed at the announcement.

·        Brick Program – On Friday, March 1, Hamilton County launched the “Put Your Mark on Great American Ball Park” brick drawing event. Through this drawing, Hamilton County will award 100 people the opportunity to immortalize themselves at the ball park, by having their name or message inscribed on a brick that will be permanently paved into the ball park’s main concourse.

Entries will be collected between March 1 and April 1, and the winning entries will be randomly drawn on Wednesday, April 3. The drawing is open to the public and there is no charge to participate.

To maximize the drawing’s reach, traveling entry locations will be set up at major shopping malls located within Hamilton County. A Great American Ball Park traveling display will accompany each drawing location:

°         March 1-8: Forest Fair Mall

°         March 1-15: Tri-County Mall

°         March 8-15: Carew Tower Arcade

°         March 15-30: Kenwood Towne Center
