· Construction News – Workers continue to make notable progress on all aspects of the Great American Ball Park. Following are some highlights: ° Workers have completed the boiler and chiller rooms within the superstructure. ° Crews continue to install brick along the façade of the Reds administration building. Onlookers can see the impressive brick columns that have advanced towards the top of the window areas. ° Painters continue to place the finish coat of paint on the steel above the main concourse area. The finished color of all steel will be white. ° Steel installers have completed the framework that will hold the Spirit of Baseball relief sculpture. ° Workers are assembling the 12 light racks that will be eventually attached to the light towers. Fun Fact – The light towers that are being installed at Great American Ball Park are called “Toothbrush Light Towers” because the shape is similar to that of a toothbrush. Long-time Reds fans should notice the resemblance of these light towers to those of the Crosley Field days.

· Brick Program Update – The Hamilton County brick program successfully ended on Opening Day, April 1. The month-long contest gave 100 people the opportunity to immortalize themselves at the ball park by having their name and/or message inscribed on a brick that will be permanently paved into Crosley Terrace.
The free contest received more than 4,000 entries. Cincinnati Reds mascot Mr. Red and the Hamilton County Commissioners randomly drew winners’ names at last Wednesday’s commission meeting. Names of the contest winners are posted on the Hamilton County Web site at www.hamilton-co.org/gabp
Fans can still purchase bricks by calling the Cincinnati Reds Brick Campaign at 1-866-850-2100, or by checking out their Web site at www.Cincinnatireds.com
