Play-By-Play

· Construction Information: Crews continue to make progress on all areas of Great American Ball Park. Following are some highlights:

°              Steelworkers have started constructing the framework of what will eventually become the Batter’s Eye.

°              The out-of-town scoreboards have been installed.

°              Water proofing work has begun on the Suite Level.

°              Workers continue to add topping slabs onto the Terrace Level and pre-cast above the View Level.

°              The piece of structural steel that the public signed on May 23 is scheduled to be installed this week. It will be the last canopy truss installed and will be placed on the southwest side of the ball park.

·    · The Host With the Most: According to published reports, Great American Ball Park may receive a chance to host the 2006 All-Star Game. With the St. Louis Cardinals finding it increasingly difficult to find a proper venue to host the game, the Reds might pursue the opportunity to host the game at Great American Ball Park should that opportunity arise. Cincinnati hosted the annual event in 1970 and 1988.

· Holiday Schedule:  The Great American Ball Park jobsite will be officially closed for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 27, as will all county offices and the offices of the construction management team.
