Construction News: Workers continue to make notable progress on all areas of Great American Ball Park. Following are some highlights: ° Installation of the field wall continues. The wall now extends from the third base line, loops around home plate and stretches towards the home team dugout, along the first base line. This work precedes the field installation, which is on schedule to begin August 1. Fun Fact #1: The Motz Group will install the grass playing surface at Great American Ball Park. Located out of Cincinnati, The Motz Group also installed the surface at Cinergy Field, as well as the playing surfaces of the current stadiums for the Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Dodgers. ° The majority of the windows have been installed in the Reds Administration Building. The Reds are tentatively scheduled to move into their new offices in November. Fun Fact #2: Waltek & Company Ltd., with offices located in both Cincinnati and Nashville, are installing the glass for the Reds Administration Building. Waltek & Company Ltd. has also worked on the Nashville Arena and the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. ° Concrete work on the visiting team dugout is nearing completion. Foundation work on the home team dugout has begun. ° The framework for the Longines Clock replica continues. The replica, which will be located on the right side of the scoreboard, will be significantly larger than the one originally displayed on the scoreboard at Crosley Field. ° Ceiling installation work has begun on the Terrace Level suites.
