Play-By-Play

Construction Features: The Cincinnati Reds have sold out the Scout and home plate Club sections of Great American Ball Park. Workers are scheduled to begin installing the seats later this month. It should be noted that the first row of Club seats behind home plate are only 50 feet away from home plate. This distance is actually closer to the batter than the pitcher!

Fun Fact: The seats at Great American Ball Park measure approximately 19 inches in width. If all 42,060 seats were lined up in one continuous row, the seats would equal the distance between home plate and the Kenwood Towne Centre.

Picture Day: In an attempt to better serve the media, the Great American Ball Park project team will reserve one day each month to accommodate still and video photographers. This is a result of the increasing number of media requests for b-roll and photograph opportunities.

Picture Day will be held on Tuesday, July 9, from 3:00p.m. - 4:00 p.m. All media planning to attend must meet at Gate 3 on the Plaza Level of Cinergy Field by 2:50 p.m.

Please note that this is not a media tour. There will be no spokesperson available for comments at any time during Picture Day. Photographers will only have access to specific areas of the ball park. This opportunity is rain or shine, and all participants will be required to sign a waiver of release prior to entering the construction zone. Everyone must wear a hard hat throughout the duration of his or her time on the job site. The Project Safety Manager reserves the right to deny entry to anyone not dressed properly for the work site. Media attending Picture Day must be in proper attire, and should wear sturdy shoes and long pants. Shorts and gym shoes are considered inappropriate attire.

Community Display Schedule: The Great American Ball Park traveling display, featuring photographs, renderings and riverfront development information, will be on display at the Atrium Two building, 221 E. Fourth Street through July 22.
