| Construction Schedule Report: On July 15, project managers
presented a Great American Ball Park construction schedule update to the
Hamilton County Commissioners at their weekly staff meeting. Key Schedule Items: ° Ballpark is 70% complete and remains on target for Opening Day 2003. (Phase 1 – substantial completion) ° Ballpark plaza and parking remains on target for April 2004. (Phase 2) ° The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame is on target for a summer 2004 completion. |
| SBE Numbers Remain Strong: Project managers also
released a report outlining the level of Small Business Enterprise
participation in the Great American Ball Park project. As of May 31, 2002, a
total of 26.8% of all contracted work had been committed to small
businesses, which includes any minority- and women-owned businesses that
also are classified as small businesses. A further breakdown shows that
11.8% of contracts went to minority-owned businesses and 4.2% to women-owned
business enterprises. |
| Safety Update: Through May 31, only four lost
workday incidents were reported for the construction of Great American Ball
Park and related projects. Even with these incidents, the project lost
workday incident rate stands at 1.1, well below the national average of 5.4.
The project has received numerous accolades from the Occupational Safety &
Health Administration (OSHA) regarding safety on the project. |
