Play-By-Play

Construction News: Following are some current Great American Ball Park construction highlights:

bulletThe Spirit of Baseball bas-relief is starting to come together along the west wall of the Reds Administration Building. Like a jigsaw puzzle, the limestone relief is put together piece-by-piece. There are a total of 33 pieces to be installed, forming one massive 50-foot relief.

bulletWorkers are now testing the electronic ribbon boards and the main and out-of-town scoreboards.

bulletThe out-of-town scoreboards are located on the leftfield wall. They will continuously update fans in attendance with up-to-the minute scores from all of the Major League Baseball games going on at that time.

bulletThe ribbon boards are located along the first and third baselines, below the upper deck. These boards will feature sponsor and promotion information, as well as messages from the fans.

bulletThe Cincinnati Reds Riverfront Club is starting to take shape. Workers are installing ceiling and floor tiles.

Fun Fact – The Riverfront Club is located on the edge of right field next to Club 4192. It will offer a stylish, upscale atmosphere where members and their guests can watch the ballgame and enjoy world-class cuisine prepared by an award-winning chef. The facility will accommodate approximately 350 people and will feature an elegant, glass-enclosed dining area, as well as a separate lounge and bar for casual entertainment.

Membership to the Riverfront Club for the 2003 season is limited and will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. First priority will be given to premium and season ticket holders. The Riverfront Club will open only on game days. For more information about the Riverfront Club, contact Maya Wadleigh, Cincinnati Reds Club Coordinator at 513-765-7079.
