Storm Sewer and Fire Hydrant Maintenance DivisionThe Department of Public Works Maintenance Division investigates storm water drainage problems that may occur within the unincorporated county limits. When possible, we offer solutions to storm water drainage concerns.
Our Maintenance Division is responsible for snow removal on 14 County owned properties.
We also repair and replace storm sewers and fire hydrants throughout the unincorporated areas of Hamilton County. We are proud to state our goal of responding to drainage inquires and the repairing of inoperable fire hydrants within 24 hours is met 90% of the time.
From January 1, 2007 to December 20, 2007 Public Works Maintenance Division repaired 1,982 fire hydrants. The average time to repair fire hydrants that were out of service was 0.74 days. The average number of fire hydrants out of service at any given time was 1.32 hydrants.
The Maintenance Division is located in Springfield Township with
hours from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
