1. Microscopic and chemical comparisons of paint from hit and run cases and breaking and entering offenses.
2. Comparison of glass particles.

 

3. Microscopic comparisons of human hairs and identifications of animal hairs.
4. Shoe print and tire track comparisons.

 

5. Wood identification and comparison.

 

6. Chemical comparisons of inks and dyes.

 

7. Explosives identification, including the examination of acid foil bomb remains.
8. Headlight and tail light filament examination by optical and electron microscopy.
9. Soil and debris comparisons.

 

10. Physical comparisons (e.g. matching ends of wires, broken off knife tips, torn clothing).
11. Evidence collection in the lab garage from vehicles suspected of involvement in criminal activity.
12. Examination by scanning electron microscope of adhesive lifts used to collect primer residues. (GSR)
