·         Who’s on First, What’s on Second?  Part II:  Although it may look like a sedentary muddle of hardware, materials and criss-crossing roads, Great American Ball Park’s outfield is actually a major player in the construction game plan.  Here is this week’s outfield line-up for those keeping score:

-          Left Field:  Steel beams and columns currently laid out in left field will soon be used to support the Great American Ball Park scoreboard and structures along the outfield portion of the third base line.  Also in left field, the first two light tower bases have been installed and will eventually become part of the scoreboard support system.

-          Center Field:  Center field is the gateway to the site and paths running through it distribute traffic to all corners of the field and beyond.  It also serves as a staging area and repository for job boxes and other shared equipment.

-          Right Field:  Work in right field is currently focused under the deck rather than on top of it.  Crews are installing underground plumbing and electrical systems that will service structures along the first base line.  Right field is also a storage area for concrete that will form nearby bleachers and stands.  Keep watching this area as it will begin rising out of the ground in the next few weeks!

·         Community Display Schedule:  Two Great American Ball Park displays are available to the public this week.  The architectural model of the ball park will be on public display outside the Reds vs. Rockies game on August 12, while the traveling display of photos and renderings will continue to be exhibited at the    580 Building through Tuesday, August 14.  The display will move to the Convergys Center for the remainder of the week.
