·         Out in Left Field:  Anyone on or near the Great American Ball Park job site during the past week surely noticed the remarkable progress crews have made in the left field structure.  Crews have begun to install the steel framework of the scoreboard, and the left field light tower bases are clearly visible as they grow skyward.  The remainder of the scoreboard framework will be installed this week.  The remaining steel framing is currently staged in the area of what will one day be left field.

Below the scoreboard, crews have completed the installation of pre-cast concrete seating risers which will support the left field stands.  Risers are also now in place along the third base line.

·         Fireworks on Site:  On August 18 the Cincinnati Reds will treat fans to a fireworks display following their 7:05 game against the Milwaukee Brewers.  The display by Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks will be launched from the Great American Ball Park jobsite.  Crews will clear a 420-foot safety radius around the launch area which will be located on the future playing surface of the new ball park.  All combustible materials, machinery and gas-powered equipment will be removed from this safety area.

·         Community Display Schedule:  Two Great American Ball Park displays are available to the public this week.  The architectural model of the ball park will be on public display at the Taste of Blue Ash festival on August 24, while the traveling display of photos and renderings will continue to be exhibited at the Convergys Center through Tuesday, August 21.  The display will move to the Enquirer Building at 312 Elm Street for the remainder of the week.
