| Out With Old, In With the New: The Cincinnati Reds
front office staff has begun the transition into the new administration
building. They will officially occupy the building October 7. The media
relations, clubhouse staff, coaches and trainers are the only departments
not located in the administration building. They will move into the their
respective work areas within the main superstructure upon completion. |
| Upon completion of Great American Ball Park, visitors will
enter the building from Crosley Terrace or from the parking decks below. The
glass-enclosed lobby reception area will greet the incoming visitors, where
a Reds’ concierge will assist them. Ticket offices will be located on the
first floor. Marketing, sales, human resources and financing departments
will be on the second floor. Jim Bowden, John Allen, and baseball operations
(i.e. scouting, travel, business and communications) will occupy the third
floor. The main boardroom also will be on the third floor. |
| Group Tours: The Great American Ball Park Group
Tours have been a successful way for public societies, civic organizations,
and community groups to catch a glimpse of a work in progress. Eight groups
have successfully toured the construction site since August. Tours run the
third Wednesday of every month through January 2003. |
| Community Displays: The Great American Ball Park
traveling display, featuring photographs, renderings and riverfront
development information, will be on display in the 525 (Downtown Post
Office) Building, 525 Vine Street, through October 3. |
