Play-By-Play

Construction Update: Workers continue to make notable progress on all areas of Great American Ball Park. Following are some highlights:

bulletGreat American Ball Park Entrance Signage: Workers are finishing up erecting the main entrance sign. Upon completion, the words Great American Ball Park will be affixed onto the ball park superstructure. Fans entering through Crosley Terrace will be greeted with this feature.

bulletDiamond Lounge: Crews continue with interior work on the Diamond Lounge. Workers are installing drywall and ceiling. The Diamond Lounge will be tucked behind the Diamond seats (the first eight rows of seats behind home plate.) It will feature an all-you-can eat buffet and full-service bar. Fans with Diamond Club access will be able to see the Reds taking the field through a window looking directly into the player tunnel. The Diamond Lounge is an exclusive amenity for Diamond seat ticket holders.

bulletClub 4192: Workers have begun laying down a marble-like terrazzo flooring in Club 4192, another Great American Ball Park restaurant/lounge. Club 4192 will be located on the Club Level, along the right field-side of the ball park. It will be enclosed by glass, so fans may watch the game while dining. Club 4192 will have separate food stations offering a variety of menu items set up throughout, and a bar located in the center of the lounge. Club 4192 is exclusive to suite holders and individuals with Club and Scout seat tickets.

bulletExterior Walls: Crews continue to work on the exterior walls of the superstructure. Workers are installing a glass curtain wall along Mehring Way. The glazed glass façade will give fans inside the ball park a view of the Ohio River and the Roebling Bridge - - and fans on Mehring Way the chance to catch a glimpse inside Great American Ball Park.

bulletRestrooms: The majority of the toilets in the ball park are already functional. Once completed, Great American Ball Park will have 14 men’s and 15 women’s restrooms. In addition to the traditional accommodations, the ball park also will have six family toilets, equipped with diaper-changing stations. The 35 total restrooms are significantly more than what Reds’ fans are used to. They represent a 30% increase in men’s and 50% increase in women’s rest rooms over Cinergy Field.
Community Displays: The Great American Ball Park traveling display, featuring photographs, renderings and riverfront development information, will be on display in the Chiquita Center, 250 East Fifth Street, through November 11.
