Construction News: Following are some
current Great American Ball Park construction highlights:
|
 | Reds Clubhouse – Work on the Reds’ clubhouse is well underway. Though
the lockers have not yet been installed, the paintwork is finished, a deep
red carpet has been installed, a custom wishbone C logo ceiling is
complete, and tiling in the showers and restrooms is complete with most
bathroom fixtures in place.
|
 | Diamond Club – Finishing work has begun on the exclusive Diamond Club
located directly behind home plate under the field-level seating. Glass
walls and partitions have been installed to separate the area from the
service corridor. A tiled entryway is complete, carpeting has been
installed, and work on a custom ceiling is nearing completion as well. A
circular center bar also has been installed complete with countertops and
fixtures.
|
 | Home Run Celebration – Preliminary installation work for the home run
celebration has begun. Crews have cut circles into the concrete concourse
that will hold the base of the “smoke stacks.” Featuring fireworks, steam
and a cooling mist, the riverboat themed home run celebration will be
activated to recognize Reds home runs, exemplary plays and victories.
|
 | Seat Installation – Seat installation is nearing completion. Only the
field-level seats along the right field line near the outfield wall remain
uninstalled, and crews get closer to completion every day.

Group Tour Recap – The monthly group
tours of Great American Ball Park ended on January 15. The tours took place
the third Wednesday of every month, with the first tour beginning on August
21. More than 700 individuals participated in the tours. This opportunity
gave public groups, civic organizations and professional societies the
chance to tour the job site and see the immediate progress of the ongoing
construction. Individuals who missed out on the opportunity and are still
interested in touring the Great American Ball Park are invited to attend the
Great American Ball Park Open House on March 22-23.
