Play-By-Play

Final Media Tour: Media are invited to attend the final quarterly tour of the Great American Ball Park construction site. On Tuesday, March 11, at 2:00 p.m., project managers will deliver a progress briefing, conduct a site tour and answer questions regarding construction of Great American Ball Park. This also is an opportunity to obtain sound, b-roll, interviews and photographs.

Because Great American Ball Park is still considered a construction site, media attending the tour must be in proper attire. All participants must wear sturdy, flat-soled, closed-heeled and closed-toed shoes and long pants. Dresses, skirts, high heels and gym shoes are considered inappropriate attire. The Project Safety Manager reserves the right to deny entry to anyone not properly dressed for the construction site.

Construction News: The Cincinnati Reds decided to switch bullpen locations. The Reds bullpen is now located beyond left centerfield, between the Batter’s Eye and bleachers. The move was made to give coaches a better view of the Reds as they warm up.

Open Houses and Dedication: There are 15 days until the gates open for the Great American Ball Park Open House presented by RE/MAX, which takes place on March 22 and 23. The formal dedication ceremony begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.

The Saturday tours will follow the dedication ceremony with the first tour beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the last tour of the day starting at 6:30 p.m. Tours will begin again at noon on Sunday, March 23, and the last tour will begin at 4:30 p.m. Tours are self-guided and fans may take as much time as they like to visit the new ballpark. Concession stands will be open for fan convenience. Hamilton County also will provide free parking at County-owned riverfront lots to accommodate those attending the dedication and open house.
