  This chart provides comparison of relative property tax rates for the major urban counties within Ohio. It is important to note that rates are a better indictor that total taxes paid because the rate is independent of property value; which varies widely across jurisdictions.

  Hamilton County is the only county in Ohio then uses the sales tax to support stadium construction and operations. Notwithstanding the 0.5% sales for the river front, 86 of the 88 counties in Ohio have higher sales tax rates.
