Attorney General Victims of Crime Compensation Fund

Administers compensation awards in accordance with Ohio's Crime Victims Compensation Law, a law that provides payment to eligible victims of violent crime for their non-reimbursed economic losses.

The Facial Foundation of Greater Cincinnati

Provides pro bono facial reconstructive surgery (includes dental) for victims of domestic and other violent crime.

Hamilton County Adult Probation

Probation officers supervise defendants placed on community control (probation) by the Municipal and Common Pleas Courts.

·         Ensures a defendant's compliance with court orders (e.g., treatment, community service, restitution and orders to stay away from a victim).

·         Officers in the Victim Services Unit interview crime victims for Victim
Impact Statements, provide information on the court process and victim
compensation, provide referrals to community agencies, and continue to assist victims until offender’s community control has expired.
