Geographical Information System DivisionThe Department of Public Works, (GIS) Geographical Information System Division is utilizing CAGIS (Cincinnati Area Geographic Information System) to create and maintain the Special Flood Hazard Area, Storm Sewers, and Storm Water Detention Coverage's.
These Coverage's were created and maintained using ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop software, an integrated collection of GIS software products for building a complete GIS framework to deploy GIS functionality.
This architecture, coupled with the Geodatabase, gives us the tools to assemble intelligent geographic information systems.
