Employment Policy
It is the policy of the First District Court of Appeals of
Ohio to recruit and employ individuals without regard to race,
color, religion, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, disability
or political affiliation. The Court does not discriminate
against qualified individuals with disabilities as described in
the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), and is committed to
providing reasonable accommodations to the needs of employees and
applicants with disabilities. Individuals who file ADA
complaints or testify regarding violations are protected from
discrimination, threats, coercion, intimidation or
interference. The Court affirms its commitment to provide equal
employment opportunities as prescribed by all applicable civil
rights laws.
The Court's policy is to recruit and employ the best available
individuals on the basis of merit, to place them in positions
commensurate with their qualifications, and to attempt to make
full use of their abilities, while at the same time trying to
provide for maximum job satisfaction.
